J LITTER

PARENTS : Bh's Lanie and Brock
WELPED : 12/30/2007

Lanie went into labor in the morning which is unusual for her. Our granddaughter was puppy sitting and called me to tell me that she was panting and digging up her bedding in the second puppy room. I finished up a few things at the bank and rushed home only to find she had given birth to her first pup, a female. This is the 1st birth in 10 litters I have missed!

I sat with her for another 4 hours and nothing was happening. Finally she looked like she was very uncomfortable and I was concerned about the time between pups so I called the Vet. He had me bring her in, so off we went, mom and baby in the kennel. When I got to the Vet 20 minutes later and went to open the kennel. There was the second little girl all cleaned and ready for show. The Vet said next time there was a lull in the birthing process just take her for a ride!

Cactus Country Jesse

Received a NAVDA Prize II

Jesse was the first born and Lanie handled everything beautifully. She seemed really tiny since we had just had another litter the week before but she was 8 ozs which is a nice size.

Jesse is staying in Tucson with a wonderful family who lives pretty near and we are thrilled. They visited her every week and we were able to share her progress with them.

She wants to know everything about everything and loved the wing when we introduced her to it. When she met the bird she had his head in her mouth. She is absolutely wonderful!

Cactus Country Josey

Josey was a little smaller at 7 oz. but full of wonder at this great big world she came in to. She is very inquisitive and uses her nose. When introduced to the pigeon she was all about the bird.

She traveled to Nevada when her new dad flew in to pick her up. He is excited about his new hunting companion. We showed him her sit and down right on the airport floor. A small crowd gathered and was amazed that she was only 8 weeks old!
