G LITTER

PARENTS : Darby and Brock
DATE : 07/29/2007

As litters go this one was actually quite normal. Lanie went into labor early in the evening and with only 4 pups we were finished delivering by midnight. She, again, was amazing. I was basically there as an observer and she did all the work. It went like clockwork and she commenced being the wonderful mom she has always been. There was one very large pup but she never uttered a sound.

Males

Cactus Country Gambel’s Hunter

Hunter will be staying pretty close to home and will live in the Phoenix area with his new owner who is an avid bird hunter.

Hunter was our first 14 oz. puppy, which makes him the largest pup we have had. He was the first to open his eye and has yet to miss a meal!

He started using his nose right away and crawled out of the whelping box twice by 1 week old. He is going to be an awesome bird dog!.

Females

Cactus Country Gabrielle (Gaby)

Gaby will be moving to Ohio to join her new hunting family. She weighed 12.4 ozs at birth and at 2 weeks is 2.14 lbs.

She has beautiful liver markings and our grandchildren thinks she looks like she is wearing eye makeup because she is so pretty. She really is a beautiful pup.

She barked at 1 week and is a great communicator already! Tell those Ohio birds to look out.

Cactus Country Gidget

Gidget was the smallest of the G litter but weighed in at a whopping 12.1 ozs. She is completely white and is the only fawn in the litter.

She is starting to develop some orange ticking already. She has shown a lot of tenacity in making it to the dinner table. She doesn't let anyone keep her from a meal. She is going to be a gorgeous girl!

Ginger will be staying in Tucson where we will get to see her hunting ability. She is completely white so far with the exception of a small liver spot on the inside of her left ear.

She, too, was big weighing 12.6 ozs at birth. Her new best friend is Matthew and we think Matthew may just have a new sleeping buddy. Congratulations!
