Braque du Bourbonnais Dog Breeders

E LITTER

PARENTS : Lanie and Brock
DATE : 6/7/2005

This was Lanie's first litter and we actually had Lanie and Emmy deliver 2 days apart. We thought we had a few more days between litters.

At 2 A.M. Lanie jumped on our bed and startled me. I told her to get down but she wouldn't. I got up and turned on the light and saw her standing there with a limp puppy in her mouth. I was still half asleep but told her what a bad dog she was for stealing on of Emmy's puppies in the middle of the night. As I took the pup from her I realized that this dog had a tail and Emmy's puppies had their tails cropped already. It finally dawned on me that this was actually Lanie's first puppy and she had delivered next to the bed. We headed to the puppy room and spent the rest of the night delivering puppies.

Males

Elvis (Kodi)

Elvis is the largest of both litters and has his mother’s coloring. He was one of the most inactive initially because he was so BIG!

He’s making up for it now. He loves the water and keeps his nose to the ground when outside. While a late bloomer because of his size, he has more than made up for it. Elvis will be joining his family in Nevada!

Elwood(Woody)

Elwood will be called Woody and is joining his hunting family in Illinois. One of the bigger males, Woody is getting his orange markings a little late but he is beautiful.

He really uses his nose and has no fear of the water. He has a wonderful disposition.

Easy Rider (Jacques)

Easy Rider is extremely laid back most of the time but when the whole group gets going, LOOK OUT! He loves to be held and will get lots of that from his new family in Phoenix.

He got his name because of his willingness to adapt to any changing situation. He will be called Jacques.

Females

Elaho (Rugby)

Elaho will be our first international Braque going to a fantastic family in Canada. She doesn’t take any guff from her BIG brothers and can hold her own at feeding time.

She has beautiful markings and is everything a hunter is looking for in a good bird dog. Elaho, stay away from the bears!

Ellie

Ellie will be a California dog going to a terrific family outside Bakersfield. She has the most beautiful eyes.

She has shown exceptional bird dog qualities and while smaller than her litter mates, that never deters her from mixing it up. She uses her nose beautifully. She loves to play!
